Signatory exclusive:Improving Social Mobility in the workplace

An Inclusive Leadership and Socioeconomic status workshop

Monday 20th April, 12:30pm -1:30pm

Improving social mobility in the workplace is on the radar for many companies that pride themselves on inclusion. Yet, Socioeconomic Status is not considered a protected characteristic under the Equality Act. This can leave many leaders unsure of how to  navigate supporting colleagues from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

Rose Sellman-Leava

Rose, co-founder of Inclusive Futures CIC, will share how some simple, actionable considerations in the workplace can improve inclusion for everyone, but particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

You can expect to leave with:

  • An understanding of what improved social mobility in the workplace could look like

  • Clarity on which inclusive leadership traits promote a more socially mobile workforce

  • Simple actions to take forward in your workplace

Since 2020, Inclusive Futures have reached over 10,000 young people, the majority of whom receive/d Free School Meals.

Their Inclusive Coaching expertise significantly improves how confident, resilient and motivated this next generation feel, and they support organisations to achieve the same for their employees, through inclusion-led and purpose-driven leadership development.
